Mutuaide Assistance was established in June 1981
A subsidiary of Groupama, Mutuaide Assistance was established in June 1981, and is active in all aspects of assistance across the world.
Mutuaide Assistance continues to prove itself as a customer-focused company by developing personal relationship with its clients.
By constantly pursuing its diversification, Mutuaide Assistance provides pro active assistance and thrive to satisfy its clients every needs.
With a solid infrastructure and a backbone of high performance computer and telecommunication facilities, Mutuaide Assistance brings a timely response to its clients, at home or away.
| - 1975 : SOS AMA, subcontracted with Gesa Assistance.
- 1981 : Assurances Mutuelles Agricoles creates Mutuaide Assistance in partnership with another mutual insurance company which owns 49%.
- 1990 : Groupama becomes the sole shareholder of Mutuaide Assistance.
- 1991 : Mutuaide Assistance moves to Bry sur Marne, outside Paris, France.
- 2000 : Integration of GAN policyholders.
- 2001 : Mutuaide Assistance receives certification NF in ISO 9002 Version 1994.
- 2004 : Mutuaide Assistance receives certification NF in ISO 9001 Version 2000.
- 2008 : A second assistance centre in Orvault (44) is opened.

The initial capital which was 3 000 000 francs in June 1981, increased to 10 million in November the same year, then reached 60 million in August 1982.
Groupama Insurances bought GAN in July 1998.
From 1st of October 2000, Mutuaide assists all GAN policyholders, i.e about 3 million additional customers, and 30 000 more cases per year.
Between December 1999 and June 2000, the site is improved and developed to accommodate the larger number of coordinators on the assistance platform, the overall size of the workforce having grown to 35%.
Meanwhile, Mutuaide Assistance develops new services, like “practical and legal information” and “Rerouting calls”.
After reorganizing working processes, Mutuaide Assistance is certified NF in ISO 9002 Version 1994 in June 2001.
The 27th of February 2004, a new audit rewarded Mutuaide Assistance with NF in ISO 9001 Version 2000 certification.
Since November 2009, Mutuaide Assistance is certified ISO 9001 version 2008.
